Anthoptus epictetus

Common up to 1600 m. Found in a variety of habitats, especially disturbed. Attracted to bait and spitwads.

Similar species: On male, note hint of distinctive D pattern on V and black spots on VHW fringe. Female difficult (for me!) to identify with certainty.
