Drephalys helixus

Rare at 1200 m., probably lower. Attracted to bait. Possibly restricted to dry valleys, but may occur in lowlands throughout. As far as I know, these photographs represent the only record of this species from Peru; it may represent a similar but undescribed species.

Similar species: Other Drephalys species (I have no Cusco records) are obviously different, or the white band VHW extends all the way across the wing.
