Thracides panimeron

Fairly common 1050-1350 m. Usually found inside humid forest. Attracted to bait and spitwads.

Similar species: T. cleanthes and T. thrasea (I have no Cusco records of either) can be similar but both have red end of abdomen. Other Thracides lack the red 'collar' and are not as black overall.

Uncommon(?) up to 850 m. Interior of humid forest. Attracted to spitwads and bait.

Similar species: See T. panimeron. T. nida (probably doesn't occur in Cusco) has a hyaline spot in space 3 FW.
