Butterflies of Cusco

Zera difficilis

Common(?) up to 1350 m., though maybe not in true lowlands. Attracted to bait and spitwads.

Similar species: Z. zera (I have no Cusco records, and it probably doesn't occur) has extensive white VHW. Other Zera have 3 FW apical spots, among other differences.

Uncommon at 1350 m., probably higher and lower. Attracted to bait.

Similar species: Wings broader and more angular than others.

Similar species: I'm not confident separating this species from Z. hyacinthinus.
