Hypostrymon renidens

Rare at 1350 m., probably lower but not to true lowlands. Attracted to bait.

Similar species: H. aepeona (I have no Cusco records) is extremely similar but found at higher elevations; I don't actually know how to distinguish the two.

Hypostrymon asa

Uncommon up to 1050 m. Attracted to bait. Subtornal markings variable (by sex?).

Similar species: Recalls some others (for example Dicya spp.) but note well-separated pairs of submarginal white crescents VHW.
