Common 1350-2000 m. Puddles, and occasionally attracted bait.

Similar species: Pattern unlike most other Acraeini; D can be similar to some female Altinote hilaris hilaris, but V is much more uniform. Compare also with superficially similar Gnathotriche mundina mundina which has an 'open' HW cell among other differences.
