Polygrapha tyrianthina

Uncommon 2100-2700 m. Behaviour similar to Polygrapha cyanea . Found at higher elevations than any other leafwing, although possibly overlapping with Fountainea nobilis.

Similar species: Fountainea nobilis has HW tails and lacks dark lines on VHW; D pattern also differs. Other Fountainea (lower elevations) have FW apex much less hooked.
