Parides neophilus

Uncommon up to 900 m. Visits flowers. I don't know which subspecies occur(s) in Cusco.

Similar species: Note the pink (not white) checks in HW fringe, and male's red in DHW cell; I'm not sure if these are completely distinctive, but they do distinguish it from most other Parides.

Uncommon at 1350 m., probably higher and lower but not in lowlands. Usually found puddling; probably visits flowers. I don't know which subspecies occur(s) in Cusco; the pictures shown from Pasco and Bolivia may represent different subspecies.
