Strymon rufofusca

Locally fairly common at 2400 m., probably lower. May be more common in dry valleys, but likely to occur in more humid areas including lowlands. Visits flowers.

Similar species: S. rufofusca, which is probably much more widespread, lacks orange in post-median and submarginal areas VFW.

Uncommon 1200-1600 m., probably lower though maybe not in true lowlands; seems most common in dry valleys. Attracted to bait and flowers.

Similar species: S. yojoa (I have no Cusco records) is similar but has a straigher post-median line on both V wings.

Similar species: S. cestri (I have no Cusco records) is similar but lacks short HW tails, and doesn't have a well-defined white patch along VHW costa.
