Agraulis vanillae

Uncommon(?) up to at least 3200 m. in dry valleys; probably throughout in humid lowlands. Attracted to flowers and bait. I don't know which subspecies occur(s) in Cusco; the photograph shown from Brazil may represent a different subspecies.

Similar species: Compare with Dione species, none of which have D wings as spotted as Agraulis vanillae.
