Rare(?) up to 600 m. Puddles; attracted to bait. I do not know which subspecies occur(s) in Cusco; the individual shown from Argentina is likely a different subspecies.

Similar species: Remarkably similar to D. laure (I have no Cusco records) which has the FW band (not the subapical spot) extending further up towards costa.
