Theope fayneli

Rare(?) up to 700 m. I don't know which subspecies occur(s) in Cusco.

Similar species: T. philotes lacks vermiculations throughout V; T. nycteis (I have no Cusco records) has much larger marginal ocelli on V, particularly on FW.

Uncommon(?) at 550 m. This is a typical difficult-to-identify Theope with a plain yellowish V and a generally blue D; details of the D pattern may help with identification, but this is very difficult to see or photograph in the field.
